About me
I’m Rho, the face behind Heartstrings and Forget Me Nots Holistic Therapies.
I began my journey into healing and energy therapies back in 2021. After losing my partner, Ken, to cancer, I was offered Reiki through Hospice at Home West Cumbria to help me navigate my grief. The effect was profoundly life-changing – it transformed how I was feeling, giving me new perspectives, making me more connected to myself. Losing Ken changed my life; it opened the door to this journey of healing. I carry his memory with grace and strength, and I feel the threads of love and remembrance woven through all I create. That said, I would give it all up in a heartbeat if I could have him back here with me. My experience with Reiki inspired me to complete my Reiki Level 1 attunement. I have since become a Reiki Master & Teacher. I have also trained as an Access Bars Practitioner, Meditation Teacher, Reflexologist, Wellbeing Coach, Angelic Reiki Practitioner, and trained in Hopi Ear Candling. My training is ongoing to improve and further develop my knowledge and expertise. I’m always evolving and finding ways to honour your journey with me.
My mission is to help you feel the best you can, by offering a variety of healing and energy treatments and support, which are tailored specifically to you – so that you feel supported, nurtured, relaxed and comfortable. The time we spend together is your time, where the focus is on YOU. My therapy and meditation rooms are a safe and compassionate space for you to feel heard and be seen without judgement. Listening is a very important part of my role as a holistic therapist.
I take great pride in my own holistic self-care. I undergo regular Reiki sessions myself and have monthly massages. I suffer from Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia, and use breathing through meditation, self-Reiki and more recently homeopathy treatments to manage the pain and discomfort. My own holistic and spiritual journey is continual to ensure balance in my life for my mind, body and soul.
I love meeting clients, both regular and new ones. I’m always available for any questions or concerns that you may have. It’s so amazing to see the impact of healing energy work with my clients. For me, it’s an honour to be part of your journey, to see how you evolve as you travel your path, and I look forward to seeing where this takes each of us.
